Gah, I love playing with kids. I get the priviledge of playing with them a lot. I have adorable nieces and nephews, and they require much attention and giddy play. And when I volunteer at the Fort, my friend Luda always puts me in the kids section. If that's not enough, I help my sister out with a handful of tiny tots ready for their crackers and Bible story (sunday school). But I'm not tired of those amusing creatures. They are so great. What is it about children that I adore? Really, what's not to like? Their eyes are full of life, and they are filled with simplicty, honesty, and a real excitement for the little things. Taking each day as it comes, they are not worried about anything, because they know they're in safe hands. Why do so many of us lose that wonder as we get older?

Lack of

I'm sorry for the lack of posts recently. It's been due to a lack of time. And due to tiredness, because lately I've been getting no sleep. There is nobody to blame but myself. I need to prioritize, and manage my time more wisely. I've really been undermining my need for sleep, and am now feeling the full effects of it. You really know that you need to catch up on your slumber, when you start daydreaming about pillows and sheets. So my new goal is to get into a habitual schedule and start giving my body the rest it needs.

Cute pillows. They sure look cozy right now. Yawn.

My dear readers,
the weekend is finally here. A much needed break at an appropriate time. You see, this week feels like it has been jam packed. So, I'm meeting these next few days with glee and relief. Also, this week proved itself to be such a learning experience, it is puzzling how much you can learn in just a seemingly "ordinary" day of your life. This weekend will consist of shopping with a friend for two celebrations, a bridal shower (for a certain lady named Kae), baking for those gatherings, morning tennis, a volunteer meeting, planning for our group's Sunday school lesson and some study time. Hold on, did I say I was relieved for this weekend? I'd like to rethink that statement. Just what am I relieved about?
By the way, I'm assigned to make food for our morning book club meeting this Sunday..guess what I'm going to attempt? If you said breakfast pizza, you are correct.

To Serve

I signed up for a tennis class at college, and am enjoying it immensely. It sure is thrilling. Here's hoping we'll have more sunny days than rainy, so we don't have to play in the gym. Yay for activity! What's your favorite sport?
p.s. I officially announce a tennis match. Any takers?

Tennis old school.
Glad I don't have to play in this attire.

Except for this little lady looks more comfy.

Sweet escape

I know my friend Irina would be delighted to walk into a place like this. And I don't blame her one bit. This looks like the perfect spot to sit down and read a book. Agreed? Oh, what a pity it is when people are illiterate by choice.

Calming effect

I'm sitting here, having a late night study session. But not without distraction, of course. The soft sound of lovely melodies playing in the background and calming rain drops, all provide an extremely relaxing atmosphere. Almost makes me enjoy staying up. Anyhow, you'd think I would hate rain by now, having to face it so often here. And even though I am guilty of occasionally letting out a murmur of complain at getting wet, I've still come to appreciate rain even more since moving to this place. It is a good reminder to me of God's grace pouring over me again and again. What a blessing.

oh wonderful spring

Jose Villa posted beautiful Polaroid photos on his blog. I just can't wait till the weather gets better around here, so I can bring out my Polaroid camera and take some nice shots outside. I love spring so.
